- Moving About in Perspective Mode
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
- FIXING AXES: When PERSPECTIVE is first started, the Z-axis is fixed and
- the brush cannot move along that axis. To change the currently fixed
- axis:
- Press SHIFT 9 to fix the X-axis
- Press SHIFT 6 to fix the Y-axis
- Press SHIFT 3 to fix the Z-axis
-
- Pressing the 0 key will reset all rotations to 0° and
- fix the Z axis.
-
- When the X axis is fixed, the brush will be able to move up and down,
- and off into the distance and back.
-
- With the Y axis fixed, the brush is allowed to travel left and right,
- and off into the distance and back.
-
- If the Z axis is fixed (default) the brush can move up and down, left
- and right.
-
- The ; and the ' keys move the brush plane forward or back along the
- fixed axis without affecting the unfixed axes. Using the
- SHIFT key moves in larger increments based upon the perspective
- grid found in PERSPECTIVE>SETTINGS. If the Z axis is fixed, pressing
- the ; ' keys will move the brush off into the distance or towards
- the observer.
-
- The CTRL key will temporarily fix the Y axis, allowing movement along
- the X and Z axes.
-
- Use the < and > keys (shifted , .) to alter the distance of the observer
- from the perspective plane. Putting the observer further away will
- reduce the foreshortening, moving the observer closer will increase the
- perspective effect.
